CONGRATULATIONS!

The Colne Yacht Club Training Centre had its annual RYA inspection on Friday 6th September, which was very rigorous and detailed, the Paperwork was checked, the Sonata Keelboats and attendant  RIBs were checked, the Trainers were checked, the Trainees were checked, the Club facilities were checked.

The Inspector was very complimentary about the quality of teaching by the Instructors, and the high level of maintenance and equipment on our boats. There are very few minor action points noted.  Consequently our accreditation as an RYA approved Training Centre continues for another year.

All of this was achieved by a very special band of Volunteer Club Members who 1) maintain and generally look after the boats, 2) go through hours of training,  and then tutoring, 3) WoWs and BoBs, whose willingness and enthusiasm to get involved has made a huge contribution to this success.  So it is with huge thanks to EVERYONE  who has supported the CYC Training Centre.
